On Love

I am not here to move mountains

I am not here to carve rivers into their rushing courses

I am not even here to blaze new trails

I am here to love

To love and be loved.

To be warmed by it

Lulled to sleep in its arms

Challenged by its questions

and humbled by its answers

Graced in its presence

and blinded by its beauty

It will move me

It will carve me a course

It will blaze me a new trail

Because I will let it.
